Why the 2021 Hyundai Venue Is Cars.com’s Best Value Award Winner
It’s always good to be the best, but best and first represent a real coup for the 2021 Hyundai Venue, which just became Cars.com’s first “Best Value” vehicle.
In its inaugural “Best Value” competition, which Cars.com says it plans to make an annual contest, the 2021 Hyundai Venue rose to the top. Eligible vehicles included any 2021 model, as long as it had been reviewed by Cars.com since its last major changes.
In its announcement, Cars.com pointed out that the COVID-19 pandemic has made the choice of affordable personal transportation especially important.
That made the 2021 Hyundai Venue a logical Best Value choice: “Where the Venue shines is by demonstrating that ‘cheap’ is no longer synonymous with ‘bad,’ offering a bevy of standard safety features and technology, things that are extra-cost options on more expensive vehicles (even if they’re offered), at a price that will please the budget-conscious,” Budget conscious? The base model Venue SE rings up at less than $20,000, including a destination fee, while a fully loaded Venue still comes in at less than $25,000 and includes more safety technology and more accessories.
The features that influenced the choice included the base model Venue SE’s automatic transmission, eight-inch touchscreen that syncs with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, forward automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-keeping assist and keyless entry. And if you consider that the Venue also has a combined estimated fuel economy rating of 31 mpg, the industry’s best warranty (five years/60,000-mile bumper-to-bumper and 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain) and three years or 36,000 miles of free maintenance, that’s ample reason to be named the Cars.com 2021 Best Value.
Did we mention that the 2021 Hyundai Venue is also an Insurance Institute for Highway Safety “Top Safety Pick?”
As the editors said, “The Venue is feature packed, fuel-efficient and backed by a lengthy warranty, all at a price usually reserved for ‘cheap’ cars. What’s not to like? It’s a more than deserving winner of this award.”
The 2021 Hyundai Venue is a natural for Colorado’s SUV-loving drivers. It can seat five and has enough cargo-carrying capacity to hold plenty of outdoor gear. You can see for yourself why it was Cars.com’s 2021 Best Value award-winner at Schomp Hyundai on Havana.
