Hyundai Wins Awards. They Testify to Our Brand’s Excellence

Excuse us if we toot our own horns a little bit (pun intended) over the many awards our Hyundai vehicles – cars and SUVs – hauled in just this year. When you work for Schomp Hyundai, it’s only natural to have a lot of pride in the vehicles we sell and service, so we want to spread the word.

Various automotive organizations review vehicles and make awards based on quality, drivability, value, style, comfort and/ or vehicle safety. Consumers can rely on these organizations’ experts to guide them toward the best vehicles to fit their family’s needs. 

2023 Hyundai IONIQ 6 EV was a quadruple-award winner: World Car of the Year, World Design Car of the Year and World Electric Vehicle; Car and Driver’s 2023 EV of the Year. 

2023 Hyundai IONIQ 5 EV was named one of Autotrader’s 10 Best Electric Cars for the second year in a row; earned the 2023 National Highway Transportation Safety Administration (NHTSA) 5-Star Overall Safety Rating; named Best New Model and Best Buy of the Year among EVs by Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com; Top-Rated Electric SUV by Edmunds.

2023 Hyundai Santa Fe/Santa Fe Hybrid 2-Row SUV earned 2023 Best New SUV for Teens awards from U.S. News & World Report, which gave the Santa Fe its award for Best 2-Row SUV for Families and Best Car for the Money. It also was awarded a 2023 NHTSA 5-Star Overall Safety Rating. Both models earned spots on KBB.com’s Best Buy of the Year lists.

2023 Hyundai Kona Subcompact SUV was included as a 2023 Best New SUV for Teens  and 2023 Best Cars for the Money by U.S. News & World Report. The Hispanic Motor Press awarded the Kona and Kona Electric their City Car of the Year award. Kona earned a top 5-Star Overall Safety Rating from NHTSA.

2023 Hyundai Tucson Compact SUV – took the top spot in Edmunds rankings of Best Plug-In Hybrid SUVs; earned  spots on the U.S. News & World Report 2023 Best New SUV for Teens and Best Compact SUV for Families lists; the Tucson Plug-In Hybrid was named a Best Plug-In Hybrid by the publication and Edmunds.com gave  a top-three spot among its Best Hybrid SUVs. The 2023 Tucson also got a NHTSA 5-Star Overall Safety Rating.

2023 Hyundai Sonata and Sonata Hybrid Midsize Sedans both were named Top Safety Picks by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) and NHTSA 5-Star Overall Safety Ratings and the Sonata Hybrid got the #1 ranking among Edmunds Best Hybrid Cars.

2023 Hyundai Palisade 3-Row SUV was included among U.S. News & World Report’s 2023 Best Cars for the Money. The Palisade also was awarded the Family Vehicle of the Year by the Midwest Automotive Media Association. CarBuzz named the 2023 Palisade its 2022 Family Fun Vehicle.

2023 Hyundai Elantra Compact Sedan made U.S. News & World Report’s list of 2023 Best Cars for the Money and won a NHTSA 5-Star Overall Safety Rating.
