2019 Hyundai Santa Fe
What we already know and expect to see from the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe
You know it’s auto show season when you start seeing words like all-new, redesigned, and first-ever. For automotive enthusiasts like ourselves, it’s an exciting time of year, particularly when we get word of new Hyundai models. While we were treated to the unveiling of two completely new models in the the Hyundai Ioniq and Kona last year, 2018 is off to an equally thrilling start with the announcement of the
Entering its fourth-generation, the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe near Denver, CO will make waves with aggressive new styling. While we’re light on specs until its official unveiling, which will take place globally at the Geneva Motor Show in March and in the U.S. at either the New York or Chicago Auto Show, we do have a couple of initial images and a few important details.
What we know about the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe
At first glance, you’ll notice a significantly revamped exterior that includes a cascading grille to fall in line with its Hyundai utility fleet mates. You’ll also notice a more aggressive look, highlighted by a wide stance, bold contours, and attention-grabbing, seemingly predatory headlights.
Hyundai also provided some insight into the vehicle’s dimensions, which measure 187.8 inches long and 74 inches wide. While that is a bit more compact than the 2018 model, Hyundai notes a longer wheelbase that should make for more overall interior space.
What we expect from the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe
Hyundai teased best-in-class safety in the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe, so we’re expecting to see some cutting-edge tech in this area, particularly with active safety features. One system we’ll see for certain is called rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, which is completely new for Hyundai. The 2019 Santa Fe will also feature Safety Exit Assist, which will automatically and temporarily lock the doors if there is potential to open a door into another vehicle, bicyclist, or other objects.
We don’t have a release date for the 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe at this point, but stay posted to our blog for more information on when it’ll arrive on our Colorado lot and for more details on this redesigned SUV.
