Parents, the respected family publication, is out with its 2025 Parents Best Family Cars Awards and – no surprise to us! – Hyundai landed two: the Best Compact SUV for the Hyundai Kona and Best Hybrid SUV for the Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid.
“We understand that choosing the right car is an important decision for caregivers. Our Family Cars Awards prioritizes safety, reliability, and practicality to help make life easier for parents and protect kids,” Parents Editor-in-Chief Grace Bastidas said.
Parents’ panel of family automotive experts rated more than 180 vehicles in 24 classes. “They measured and installed car seats; considered seating configurations, cup holders and air vents; as well as storage, entertainment and fuel economy … considered the best technology and entertainment systems.”
2025 Hyundai Kona – Best Compact SUV
There are six gas-powered versions of the 2025 Hyundai Kona. The 147 hp, four-cylinder Kona versions get up to 28 mpg, while the 190 hp four-cylinder turbo versions get up to 26 mpg.
