It’s an all-new 2018 Hyundai Sonata complete with luxury features and the latest design in the eighth generation of this particular model. Available with an SE, SEL, Sport, and Limited trim option. The pretty powerful base model has a 2.4L engine and an option to upgrade to a turbocharged engine in the Sport and Limited models.

But what about the features?

Hyundai does not disappoint! They have installed a ton of features that are standard in your typical luxury car. Every single trim level includes standard features like blind spot detection, cross traffic alerts, and even lane change assist. In the SEL and Limited trims, you will also get a brand new lane assist system that automatically steers your car back into the lane if you happen to drift. Your Sonata will guide itself back into your lane so gently you might not even notice it happening!

Other tech features

Hyundai has a standard adaptive cruise control function, too. What does that mean? Simply put, the Sonata is equipped to come to a full stop and will go automatically in stop-and-go traffic. Combine that with an auto emergency brake system and you have an ultra-safe ride. Another tech feature that is standard in your 2018 Hyundai Sonata is the Blue LInk infotainment system complete with a 7″ touchscreen. You can upgrade to an 8″ screen, but it’s optional. With your infotainment system, you also have Android Auto and Apple CarPlay which are also standard luxury features. The MyHyundai app also allows you to lock and unlock your car remotely from your smartphone in addition to reviewing a vehicle health report on a monthly basis.

But it doesn’t stop there

Not only are Android Auto and Apple CarPlay standard, but Blue Link has undergone a serious update. Blue Link is now compatible with Amazon Echo and Google Home, too! Additionally, if you choose to upgrade to a Navigation package, then you will also get a 360-degree-camera view function. Extra perks abound, too, like hands-free smart trunk and wireless device charging. You will even find front and second-row USB charging ports so your rear seat passengers can charge their devices from the back seat which means no more cables going from the front ports to the back.

What about the interior?

The 2018 Hyundai Sonata has the most head and leg room in its class. With such a spacious cabin, you can feel the luxury surround you knowing that you have plenty of space to be comfortable. In fact, “the Sonata has more total interior volume than any vehicle in its class” at 122.4 cubic feet. When it’s cold, you can enjoy your heated steering wheel and heated seats. Alternatively, if you’re too hot, you can enjoy seats that will cool you off. If you and your passenger don’t agree on the temperature, guess what? You have dual climate control, too!
